Becca (She/Her) is a registered Senior Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of Meredith Mauzé, LMFT. She earned her B.A in Literature, Communication and Media with an emphasis in Theater from the American Jewish University. Becca holds a graduate certificate in Trauma Informed Care, an M.A in Education with an emphasis in Counseling as well as an M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University.

Becca has a clinical training background in community, school, and clinic-based settings, all of which gave her experience in working with individual children, teens, adults, couples and families from various contexts and backgrounds. She works with people of all ages experiencing facets of depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, mood disorders, body acceptance and neutrality, parenting challenges, family system challenges, PTSD, grief, OCD, trauma, sexual dysfunction, mental health impacts due to chronic pain, and much more.

Becca believes that her clients are the experts of their own experiences and utilizes collaboration with clients in the therapeutic space to ultimately come to a place in life they prefer. She implements a tailored approach that meets each client’s needs by fusing approaches from Narrative Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy practices.

Becca values coming into session with a safe, warm, empathetic and gentle approach that joins alongside clients and aids them in making meaning of their contexts, concerns and the world around them. She does so by using strength-based approaches that honors client’s preferences, notices their resiliencies and tunes in to how they make sense of things.
